Based on the tradition of oral storytelling, the Cabrini biography service is helping patients to record their life stories. It is a rewarding experience for volunteers, patients and their families.
The biography is prepared over the course of six face-to-face interviews and a process of writing, editing and checking, culminating in presentation of two printed copies and an electronic copy of the biography to the patient. Volunteer biographers visit the patient/resident in hospital or at their home/place of residence, in order to provide the service.
