Cabrini Residential Care welcomes visitors and recognises the vital role they play in supporting the resident and the joy they bring with each visit. It is always the highlight of the day for our residents.
We are a community and we live and work together to make this a home. You are part of our community.
What are our visiting hours?
Visiting hours are flexible however it is recommended to visit between 10.30am and 7.00pm. Meal times are 8am, 12noon, and 5pm.
What do I have to do when I visit?
Each time you visit you must sign in the visitor’s book. Information required is the date and time of your visit, your name and the name of the resident you are visiting.
Can I bring food for my loved one?
There is nothing like a food treat brought in from home or outside. It is important that all chilled food should be transported in an esky type container and hot food should be kept over 60 degrees celsius. Food from outside is signed in the food register in entry foyers. Avoid bringing in high risk foods such as cream, eggs, seafood, rice and pasta.
Can I take my loved one out of the home for day or overnight leave?
We encourage and support residents going out on day leave and/or overnight leave. Let the nurse in charge know ahead of time so that medications can be arranged. Tell the staff when you are leaving and sign the resident out in the folder in entry foyers.
Can I bring a pet in to visit?
Bringing a pet in to the facility brings joy for the resident. Pets should be clean, be free of fleas and must be on a lead or held. Pets cannot wander freely in facility. No pets in the central fountain garden in case they upset the chickens.
If you have any questions regarding the resident's care during your visit please direct them to the Unit Manager. If you have any feedback or concerns please complete a blue feedback form, available in each area, and leave in the secure box outside the Resource office near the lift.
