Allied Health is an integral part of many patients’ overall treatment and aims to improve health status, health outcomes and wellbeing.
Allied Health professionals work closely with the medical and nursing staff to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care during a patient’s stay in hospital; in particular, Allied Health clinicians ensure patients are discharged home safely and in a timely manner, with the appropriate supports and services in place.
Services are provided at each of Cabrini’s campuses, within all clinical programs and in a variety of settings, from the emergency department and inpatient wards to outpatient clinics and in the community, including in patients’ homes.
To ensure we continue to provide high quality services to our patients, we have a strong focus on service improvement as well as on teaching, training and research, which is in turn supported by relationships with our university and training sector partners.
At Cabrini Malvern, there are 11 Allied Health Services available. The main ones are:

- Occupational Therapy Services
- Physiotherapy Services
- Social Work Services
- Speech Pathology Services
Other Allied Health services include Psychology, Podiatry, Exercise Physiology, Music Therapy, Art Therapy and Orthotics.
