Cabrini Research Week 2019 Keynote Presentation

12.30 pm Monday 7 October 2019
Cabrini Institute, 154 Wattletree Road, Malvern, Lecture Rooms Level 1

“Researchers Behaving Badly”

Science is knowledge gained through repeated observation or experiment. It is communicated through publication of papers in journals. Science can only flourish if its results are reproducible, journals maintain minimal standards, and papers are read critically. The talk will provide some suggestions of how to look at journal articles skeptically, and will make a case for Australia to catch up with other nations around the world by establishing a National Office for Research Integrity.

Professor David Vaux AO
