Cabrini Health is pleased to announce a redevelopment update event to be held at Malvern Town Hall on Tuesday 28 October at 4.30pm. The event will showcase the latest design concepts for Cabrini Malvern’s proposed East Building, which forms part of its  ‘Next Era’ redevelopment project.

Since community consultation on Cabrini’s masterplan in 2023, and rezoning approval in 2024, Cabrini Health has been working closely with HSPC Health Architects, on the proposed plans for a new East Building on Coonil crescent.

“We found previous community feedback very valuable and have been considering and addressing many of the comments in our planning and design work,” said Cabrini Malvern’s Executive Director, Louise Alexander.

“We’re excited to report back and show the Stonnington community our progress. There has been careful consideration and consultation with experts on traffic flow, parking, use of building entrances and foot traffic, green space, building height, building positioning and walkways,” she said.

Cabrini recently presented the project’s progress to Stonnington Council leaders and, in line with the required process, will be submitting a town planning application to the State government regarding the overall footprint, size and use of the space.

“While the application process occurs for the overall footprint and we are still working through the finer details of the designs, now is a great time to update the community on our concepts,” said Ms Alexander.

“Those attending will have the opportunity to meet the senior team and architects involved in the designs and ask questions – we hope to see you there.”
