A/Prof Andrew Ostor

As a Consultant Rheumatologist at Cabrini Health and Associate Professor at both Monash University, Melbourne, and Australian National University, Canberra, I bring a wealth of experience to patient care and research. At Emeritus Research in Melbourne, I serve as a Principal Investigator, building upon my background as the former Director of the Rheumatology Clinical Research Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK.

My research interests encompass a wide range of areas, including inflammatory arthritis, novel treatments for rheumatic diseases, clinical trials, and the investigation of rheumatic complications of checkpoint inhibitors. Additionally, I focus on disorders of the shoulder joint, striving to advance our understanding and treatment options in these areas.

In both my medical practice and research endeavours, I am dedicated to providing holistic patient care and pursuing intellectual curiosity. I believe in a comprehensive approach that considers the individual needs and circumstances of each patient.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I find joy in exploring Modernist architecture and design.
