Dr Chrissy Muttiah

I am a medical oncologist specialising in the management of breast cancer. My work and research interests focus on novel targeted therapies in the management of hormone-positive breast cancer as well as the prevention of breast cancer in women with BRCA1/ BRCA 2 variant.

I was the recipient of an inaugural fellowship grant from Breast Cancer Trials Australia, and remain involved in clinical trials and research at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Western Health where I am an investigator in the first international phase 3 breast cancer prevention study ‘BRCA-P’ and a phase 1 study ‘PALVEN’ in advanced ER+ BCL-2+ breast cancer.

I have completed a Master’s Degree by research through the University of Melbourne, which focuses on the treatment of ER-positive breast cancer. I am a member of Breast Cancer Trials (BCT) Australia and Medical Oncology Group of Australia.
