Dr Helen Garrott

I am an internationally trained ophthalmologist with a subspecialty in eyelid, orbital, and lacrimal surgery. My expertise includes performing eyelid cancer surgery and complex reconstructions, as well as cosmetic eyelid procedures such as blepharoplasties. I completed my training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital before undertaking multiple fellowships in oculoplastic and orbital surgery at renowned institutions like Moorfields Eye Hospital and Bristol Eye Hospital in the U.K.

In 2010, I was appointed Head of the Orbital Service at Bristol Eye Hospital, a major university teaching hospital and tertiary referral centre for the South West of England. During my time there, I was actively involved in teaching, training, and research, publishing widely in international journals and presenting at both national and international conferences in the field of oculoplastics.

I hold public hospital appointments at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Monash Medical Centre. After many years abroad, I have recently returned to Melbourne to settle permanently with my family, continuing my commitment to advancing patient care and education in ophthalmology.
