Dr Kristen Elstner

I’m a specialist breast surgeon who strives to deliver exceptional and personalized care to patients with a range of breast conditions. I take the time to explain results, discuss management options, and answer questions. I offer after-hours appointments for urgent cases and can often see patients within 1-2 days.

My interests include benign and malignant breast disease, and risk reduction surgery for high-risk women. I’m trained in the use of advanced oncoplastic breast surgical techniques, used to maximize cosmetic outcomes in breast conservation surgery. I strive to provide individualized, compassionate, and comprehensive care to all my patients using the latest techniques and interventions.

I trained as a surgeon in Sydney, after completing a pre-med undergraduate degree in Canada. I completed post-fellowship subspecialty training in Breast Surgery at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and Monash Health. I’m a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, an accredited member of Breast SurgANZ and the Australasian Society for Breast Disease (ASBD). I consult from Cabrini Brighton specialist suites and I have VMO appointments at Cabrini, Monash Health and Monash Breast Screen.
