Dr Mark Freilich

I am a general and interventional cardiologist with a special interest in advanced interventional cardiac procedures. After completing my advanced training at the Alfred, I pursued a two-year fellowship in Boston, USA, which further honed my expertise. Upon returning to Australia, I became one of the early adopters of the radial (wrist) approach to coronary angiography.

My experience spans a wide range of interventional techniques, including fractional flow reserve, IVUS/OCT, rotational atherectomy, bypass graft PCI, chronic total occlusion interventions, and coronary lithotripsy. Recently, I was appointed as the Cardiology Strategic Lead at Cabrini, where I continue to drive innovation and excellence in patient care.
