I have specialised in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and the lacrimal system. Having trained in both Ophthalmology and Plastic Surgery, I utilise micro-surgical techniques to provide patients with the best possible functional and cosmetic results, maintaining and enhancing eyelid function.

A large proportion of my practice deals with lid malpositions such as ptosis repair and blepharoplasties, both medical and cosmetic. Lower lid reconstructions include microsurgery for ectropion and entropion, which can cause a myriad of problems including watery eyes, ingrowing lashes and corneal ulceration. Watery eyes require a comprehensive assessment, as the underlying cause can be multifactorial, not just due to narrowing of the lacrimal system. If the lacrimal system is involved, cannalicular reconstruction or the creation of a new drainage pathway (DCR Dacrocystorhinostomy) may be required.

I manage all eyelid lesions from benign cysts to periocular skin cancers. BCCs and SCCs are excised with a pathologist present to ensure the margins are clear before reconstruction.
