Dr Ojas Mehta

I am an experienced Cardiologist who has sub-specialised further in the field of Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology. I completed basic physician training & cardiology training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Medical Centre and their respective networks. Post cardiology fellowship, I trained in cardiac pacing at Alfred hospital and electrophysiology at Monash Health. I then went abroad to British Columbia, Canada, to perform advanced training in complex cardiac device implantation and cardiac electrophysiology. I have a broad approach to treat cardiac rhythm disorders.

I implant a range of CIEDs (Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices) and regularly perform conduction system pacing. I offer cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT), and implant leadless and subcutaneous devices in addition to conventional loop recorders, pacemakers or defibrillators.

I perform Electrophysiology studies and catheter ablation, treating complex atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. I am trained across all modalities of catheter ablation, including radiofrequency, cryoablation and the newer pulsed-field technologies. I also perform venous alcohol ablation, a novel technique in order to treat challenging cases of atrial fibrillation and premature ventricular complexes. I provide evidence-based care that matters to your personal situation. I see a Doctor-Patient relationship as a partnership to empower patients and steer them into their best version of health.

I am actively engaged in an advisory manner to consultancy firms and medical device companies. I have a Master of Science in Computational Analytics and I am an advisor for companies in the intersection between data and clinical decision making.
