Dr Shueh Wen Lim

I am an Australian-trained ophthalmologist, cataract surgeon and retinal specialist. My expertise is in retinal diseases including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vascular disorders and retinal tears. I also specialise in cataract surgery, including patients with concurrent retinal or inflammatory eye disease.

I graduated from medicine at the University of Melbourne with honours, and subsequently trained in ophthalmology at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne. I completed an additional two years of subspecialty fellowship training in medical retina at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.

I currently hold a consultant position at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and maintain an active interest in ophthalmology research, particularly in the field of retina. I am a member of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists, European Society of Retinal Specialists and American Academy of Ophthalmology.
