Prof Andrew Taylor

I am a full-time consultant cardiologist with the Heart Failure and Transplant Unit at The Alfred Hospital, as well as a visiting cardiologist at Cabrini Hospital. I head both the cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) and cardiac CT angiography (CCTA) services at the Alfred Hospital. I also helped establish the CCTA service at Cabrini Hospital, where I continue to oversee patient scanning.

In 2002, I carried out a year of post doctoral research in Berlin, Germany, in CMR imaging.

I have been an invited speaker in cardiac imaging at numerous local and international cardiology meetings, and have published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, including the highest ranking cardiology journals Circulation and JACC.
