Prof Peter Kistler

I am Head of Electrophysiology at The Alfred Hospital and Clinical Electrophysiology Research at Baker IDI Heart Institute specialising in the management of arrhythmias. This includes device implantation, biventricular pacing and defibrillators and catheter ablation including atrial fibrillation ablation.

I am a Professor at both the University of Melbourne and Monash University. I have a strong research base supervising medical PhDs in the understanding of arrhythmia mechanisms and novel catheter ablation techniques. I have published nearly 300 papers, many in the world’s leading cardiology journals and am an invited speaker at major national and international cardiology meetings. I was Chair of the inaugural AF ablation guidelines for Australia and New Zealand.
