Our Emergency Department – Discharge Information
Thank you for recently attending the Cabrini Emergency Department (ED.) The information below is to assist with any questions about your care or follow-up after discharge home.
When you have been discharged home from an ED visit it is important to follow up with your GP or specialist. This ensures that any necessary further steps or treatments are taken based on your test results and clinical progress.
Sometimes clinical progress can be unexpected with worsening symptoms evolving after you are discharged home. In a medical emergency return to Cabrini ED (if safe), attend your nearest ED, or call an ambulance – dial triple zero (000).
Cabrini ED is staffed by experienced emergency doctors and nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. If you return to Cabrini ED for ongoing care, we would be glad to take care of you again, and if this occurs within a week of your initial consultation, the attendance fee of $510 is waived.

If you were admitted as a hospital inpatient, please contact your treating specialist for further information via the Cabrini switchboard on 9508 1222, asking for their clinic contact.
