Biography

Mr Nick Furness is a consultant Orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in all aspects of upper limb and fracture surgery.

Mr Furness undertook medical training at Imperial College London, where he also earned a degree in Healthcare Management. Mr Furness completed orthopaedic training in the UK and qualified as a consultant in 2017. Alongside his training he was awarded a Master’s degree in Trauma Surgery, and received the prestigious BOA Travelling Fellowship Award, which allowed him to gain further experience in complex upper limb surgery at the Alfred Hospital. Following his specialist qualification Mr Furness completed fellowship training in Exeter (UK), Auckland (NZ), and at the Alfred.

Mr Furness currently holds public appointments at Sandringham, Frankston, and Bendigo hospitals, and consults privately at Sandringham Orthopaedic Specialist’s Group. Mr Furness operates privately at Cabrini Brighton. Mr Furness is happy to see Work Cover and TAC patients.
