Biography

Mr Raymond Yap is a colorectal and general surgeon serving the south-eastern community and beyond. Mr Yap completed three years of subspecialty training at Prince of Wales Sydney, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, and in the USA at AdventHealth Orlando, pioneering in complex abdominal and transanal minimally invasive surgery.

Mr Yap has a keen interest in a range of colorectal and general surgical conditions including; haemorrhoids, fistulas, fissures, skin tags, abscesses, colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and pilonidal disease. He also performs gastroscopies and colonoscopies. Mr Yap performs most of his major abdominal operations minimally invasively, as this allows for a faster and smoother recovery for patients. Mr Yap constantly looks to speed his patients’ recovery, including through opioid-free surgery.
