Cardiologist
I am an interventional cardiologist with expertise in adult structural heart and coronary artery disease. I graduated from The University of Melbourne and completed subspecialty training in coronary and structural heart intervention at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, and James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, United Kingdom.
I perform the full spectrum of adult structural heart intervention; valvuloplasty, percutaneous transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI, ViV TAVI), transcatheter mitral valve edge to edge repair (TEER), transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve procedures (ViV TMVR, ViV TTVR, TMVR), patent foramen ovale (PFO), atrial septal defect (ASD) and left atrial appendage (LAA) closure.
I also specialise in management of coronary artery disease including coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI, FFR, calcium modification techniques) and invasive coronary imaging (OCT, IVUS).
I am a Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Melbourne. I was awarded a Doctorate at The University of Melbourne (2016). I was the recipient of the prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the National Heart Foundation (NHF) scholarships. I am active in clinical research including interventional trials and have published in peer-reviewed journals. I am a supervisor of Higher Research Degree and Nurse Practitioner candidates as well I supervise Cardiology and FRACP trainees.
