Dr Chris Desmond

I am a gastroenterologist dealing with all areas of luminal gastroenterology and hepatology, with particular interest in colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, small bowel capsule endoscopy, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, food intolerances, irritable bowel and functional GI disorders.

I perform interventional and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy (including ‘open access’) at Cabrini Malvern and Brighton, and Glen Iris Private. I have a no gap arrangement with all insurers.

I provide a 7 day per week inpatient gastroenterology service at Cabrini Malvern and Brighton, and am a Visiting Specialist at Monash Medical Centre where I undertake endoscopy including endoscopic ultrasound.
