Dr Jessica Luzhansky

I am an ophthalmologist treating patients with cataracts, eyelid problems, glaucoma, pterygia, tear drainage problems and general eye issues. I also perform diabetic and macular degeneration screening.

I specialise in cataract surgery including laser assisted cataract surgery, eyelid surgery including skin tumours and eyelid malpositions, pterygium surgery, laser treatment for glaucoma and tear drainage surgery.

Following my graduation from Monash University in 1998, I underwent my ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear hospital specialising in cataract surgery. I then completed my Oculoplastics Fellowship further specialising in the treatment of eyelid diseases including skin tumours and eyelid malpositions.

I regularly attend local and international conferences. I have published my ophthalmological research in several scientific journals. I enjoy teaching, and have lectured at numerous workshops and clinical meetings for undergraduate and post-graduate optometrists, general practitioners and medical students.
