Mr Iswadi Damasena

I am an Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon with sub-specialty interest in soft tissue knee injuries, hip and knee replacement as well as trauma. My aim is to provide my patients with the best possible care whilst involving them in the decision making process every step of the way. I treat both adults and children.

I completed my fellowship at the Royal Australian college of Surgeons in 2017 followed by a post graduate fellowship training in knee surgery at the prestigious Orthosport Victoria practice in Melbourne. I then went on to complete a complex knee fellowship in the United Kingdom focusing on cartilage and meniscal restorative surgery, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and osteotomy.

I also hold public appointments at Box Hill and Maroondah hospitals and engage in regular teaching activities of both medical students and junior doctors, as well as orthopaedic trainees. I have published multiple papers on both hip and knee surgery and continue to undertake research to further orthopaedic science and to improve my practice. I undertake regular speaking appointments both nationally and internationally.
