Prof Chris Coombs

I am a plastic surgeon with special interest in hand surgery and therapy services, facial surgery, corrective ear surgery and the management of all types of skin cancers.

I perform adult and paediatric hand surgery including endoscopic carpal tunnel release, Dupuytrens disease, joint replacements and hand trauma, and corrective surgery for congenital hand difference with therapy services available at my office following treatment. Facial reanimation surgery for facial palsy in adults and children and corrective ear surgery including otoplasty and ear reconstruction are also my specialty interests.

I perform both reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery and am a member of the breast cancer multidisciplinary team at Cabrini Brighton. Aesthetic surgery services includes breast augmentation and reduction, abdominoplasty, facial rejuvenation, endoscopic brow lift, eyelid correction, rhinoplasty and liposuction.

I am a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and an examiner for the RACS. I am also Chief of Hand and Microsurgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Melbourne.
