What you need to know:

  • 12-month program with ongoing contract – starting mid-February 2025
  • Open to newly graduating registered midwives
  • Applications close 12 September
  • Rotation between birth suite, post-natal and special care nursery

What you need to apply:

  • No registered midwife AHPRA registration prior to 2024
  • Be-on-track for AHPRA registration as a registered midwife before February 2025
  • CV and certified transcripts
    (please provide the key to understanding these academic results)
  • Two most recent clinical placement reports with references

At the conclusion of the 12-month program you will transition into your second year post registration as a midwife.

Cabrini creates a raft of professional development opportunities to enhance their graduates year, including the chance to partake in post-graduate studies and other Transitions to Speciality Practices critical care areas. Our Graduate program alumni have also developed careers beyond midwifery, working in education, leadership, quality, compliance and corporate services.

How to apply

You’ll need the following before completing your application:

  • CV, including details of clinical placements undertaken
  • Details of two clinical referees (name, position title, email address)
  • Certified copies of your academic transcript (you can get these certified at your local chemist)
    (please provide the key to understanding these academic results)
  • Two recent acute clinical placement reports (including your final year)
  • An appropriate photo for your ID badge

A timeline describing the application process where applications close July 18 2024

Shortlisted candidates will be emailed an invite to participate in an on-site interview at the Cabrini Graduate Discovery and Assessment Day. This will involve team assessments, a hospital tour, and an opportunity to network with our current and past graduates, maternity managers and other Cabrini leaders.
